Keith’s version of the Toots and the Maytals classic "Pressure Drop’ was recorded May 2003 at Dangerous Music in New York City. Two disc (CD + NTSC/Region 0 DVD) set recorded and filmed live in London in 1974 at a concert in support of Ronnie Wood's first solo album, 'I've Got My Own Album To Do' Ronnie Wood was, at the time, a member of the Faces as well as a solo artist, and he was soon to become the 'new boy' in the Rolling Stones. Wood's band on this live outing featured many of the musicians who helped him on the album, including Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards, Small Faces/Faces keyboardist Ian McLagan and the exceptional talents of session musicians Willie Weeks (bass) and Andy Newmark (drums). Also features a guest appearance from the Faces' vocalist Rod Stewart. Both the CD and DVD feature an exclusive track with digitally remastered audio and video from Ronnies personal archive. The release includes an eight-page booklet with hand written liner notes by Ronnie Wood and previously unseen photos.

Quick note on how I ordered this: I live in the US, it was actually a little bit cheaper to order this from Amazon UK, $28 with shipping, vs. as an import from Amazon US which would have been closer to $35.

It took less than a week to get it with the slowest and cheaest shipping from the UK.

First off, the sound is nowhere near as good as the Buried Alive CD from '79. That's a much better deal at $9.99 on iTunes even though there are a few more songs from "I've Got My Own Album to Do" on this one.

The liner notes mention the "modest" recording. This recording from 1974 has lots of tapes hiss, which isn't bad during the louder songs, but is pretty distracting from the slow ones. Really wanted this because of "Act Together", the performance is great, but the sound in the quiet beginning is very weak.

Outside of the consistent hiss, there are a couple of other little drops in the sound throughout. Again, overall the performance is really good if not great, but this is a fair bootleg quality recording at best.

As for the DVD which is included, modestly recorded is really an understatement. It's low grade early 70's video, which flickers and alternates between black and white (which looks better) and then suddenly switches to oversaturated color. Lots of video shaking and little color lines whenever the camera changes, think to when you watched shows you taped on VHS where the first few seconds were always wavy and funky.

Again, it is cool to watch the performances, kudos for even including it for the hardcore fan, but it looks like an 8th generation bootleg videotape that you would buy at a flea market.

Since this isn't on iTunes like Buried Alive (which really is a great deal at only $9.99 for 20 songs) and there's a bit of overlap in songs from this 1974 concert vs. the much better sounding 1979 recording on Buried Alive, I would say you really need to be into Ronnie's solo stuff to spend $30 on this.

The album will come out on Interscope Records in the U.S. and Polydor Records in the U.K.

Shine A Light, set for theatrical release in April 2008, was shot at The Rolling Stones' acclaimed performances at New York's Beacon Theatre in the autumn of 2006. With special guests Buddy Guy, White Stripes' Jack White and Christine Aguilera joining the Stones onstage, the Oscar-winning director captured two once-in-a-lifetime performances from the band. The film also integrates rarely seen archival footage of the Stones for a unique cinema experience.

A spokesman for The Rolling Stones said, "The band are looking forward to working with Universal Music and are excited about this new venture."

Ветераны рок-н-ролла The Rolling Stones выпускают отдельным релизом саундтрек к своему недавно презентованному фильму «Shine A Light». Поскольку картина принадлежит к жанру концертных документалок, то и грядущий релиз - логично - будет представлять собой концертный «live».

Издание будет доступно в трех форматах: в виде одинарного и двойного CD, а также на устройстве хранения памяти а-ля «флэшка». Все три разновидности саундтрека «Shine A Light» появятся в продаже 31 марта.

Основой фильма «Shine A Light» Мартина Скорцезе стал материал, отснятый режиссером и его командой в ходе двух выступлений Rolling Stones в нью-йоркском Beacon Theatre в 2006-м году. Во время этих концертов музыканты исполняли песни разных периодов своей карьеры - начиная от «Paint It Black» и «Sympathy For The Devil» и заканчивая композициями со своего последнего на сегодняшний день альбома «A Bigger Bang».

Напомним, что фильм выйдет в широкий прокат по всему миру 4 апреля.

На самом деле они ценны как мемораблия, не более того. Например, на Rolled Gold+ в флеш-варианте все треки -- в mp3 160 кб/с., причём проиграть напрямую из интерфейса можно лишь несколько штук, остальные -- нужно распаковывать из архива...
Подозреваю, что и в данном случае будет то же самое...

Я не знаю кто там что издает у меня этот концерт есть в цвете целиком и полностью да еще и не один а целых два один в Лондоне а второй не помню где. Но оба в супер качестве и с отличным звуком.
Вот дали бы мне денег я бы им продал целую и полную версию в цвете. А то издают как всегда помойку хоть стой хоть падай.

ВидАла я бутлежный "в цвете", качество паханое, не лучше официоза.

А претензии "кто там издаёт" лично к Ронни Вуду: он и издал "как всегда помойку"
